Trial Attorney

ABOUT
Jeff Yashinsky

Jeff grew up in Detroit, Michigan and began his legal career in Atlanta after graduating from Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1995. In law school, he gravitated towards litigation, interning for one of the country’s most successful medical malpractice trial attorneys, Geoffrey Feiger, while serving as a competitor, coach and executive board member of his school’s nationally recognized moot court program and serving as president of his class.

He spent the early part of his career working for one of the large automobile insurance companies where he was trained to fight injury claims and taught the psychology used by claims adjusters to adjust and evaluate claims in the financial interests of the insurance providers. After gaining valuable trial experience, Jeff realized his passion for the law was far better suited for fighting for those who have been injured instead of working to devalue someone’s loss for the benefit of large corporations focused only on premiums and profits. He wanted to give individuals their opportunity for justice instead of spending his energy picking apart medical records and criticizing doctors for being advocates for their patients. Jeff wanted to help people.

Once he made the decision to pursue his true purpose, he joined a personal injury firm in Woodstock where he helped build a successful practice that had specialized in automobile injury premises cases where he developed cases for injured clients from start to finish. Interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence and developing relationships with experts helped teach him how to maximize the value of his recoveries while litigating cases all the way through trial. He built a network of medical providers he could trust and learned how to try difficult cases in conservative venues which helped him pursue the full value of disputed claims. And his favorite part, when it was called for, was taking his client’s case to a jury to let 12 neutral people decide who is right.

In the early part of 2017, Jeff opened The Yashinsky Law Group and applied the lessons he learned along the way to create his own innovative approach to developing cases and representing his clients. While he enjoyed the autonomy and independence, Jeff realized realize he could improve his craft by working with a team and he joined one of the large personal injury firms in Atlanta where he handled a variety of cases in a large volume practice. Because the personal connection with his clients was so important to his mission, Jeff decided he was better suited for an environment that combined the innovation he sought with the personal connection and a team approach to complicated issues. He wanted to be somewhere he knew his clients would receive the attention they needed. Jeff was ecstatic when the opportunity arose to join the Schnyder Law Firm where he shares the same vision as his good friend and firm owner, Nick Schnyder. Here, he has found the type of practice that fights for its clients and works hand in hand to make sure the powerful insurance companies are held accountable for their mistakes and that his clients are compensated fairly and fully. Jeff focuses on building relationships and learning about the people he represents. He has found that at the Schnyder Law Firm, where they work as a team and take pride in grit and hustle.
